Citrus Bowl Parade
Floats made of citrus fruit and highly talented marching bands characterize this colorful parade that winds through the streets of downtown Orlando and attracts more than 90,000 spectators. The Citrus Bowl Parade serves as a prelude to the Capital One Bowl, which matches the second-ranked college football teams of the powerhouse Big Ten and Southeastern conferences at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium on New Year’s Day. Em and I have tickets and will be at the Citrus Bowl this year… super excited about that. The parade on the other hand… eh. After not feeling well, I ventured out to see the parade (which is literally steps from my condo). Growing up in New Orleans I guess spoils a person when it comes to parades.
