"Something Special with Someone Special" @ St. Richard's Preschool
I cherish my time with my nephew Gavin and adore our frequent date nights/outings we go on. When I got his invitation to attend his "Something Special with Someone Special" event at his school, my heart was so warmed that he wanted me to go. He even made me a beautiful invitation that was mailed to my home to formally invite me. On my way there this morning there was a slight snag causing me to be a little delayed, but when I get out the car (slightly frazzled from the prior events), Gavin ran up and gave me the biggest hug jumping into my arms and wrapping his arms and legs around me so tightly. It made everything else just melt away and seem insignificant. I got to meet some of his friends, including Reid (who is apparently the double trouble twin when their powers are activated by being together), along with their special people (mostly grandmothers and grandparents). We had juice, donuts and pastries (well, LG did, Aunt KeKe had to pass) and I got to see his classroom and some of his craft projects. I'm just so proud of him... he is such an amazingly smart little man and so well socially adjusted. My beautiful cousin Katy and her husband Ryan have done a terrific job raising him.
It was a wonderful morning. Thank you Gavin for making Aunt KeKe feel so special!!
