St. Patty's Day Celebration - Wall St. Plaza
St. Patrick's Day is celebrated by the Irish and Irish at Heart in big cities and small towns alike with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Its a time for fun. An excuse for partying. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green! Well, Orlando doesn't go that far but it does know how to throw a great St. Patrick's Day celebration. Starting around 3pm I could hear cheering, car horns and singing all the way on the 8th floor of my high rise office building on the corner or Orange and Central. I joined the crowds around 6pm, meeting up with some of my favorite women, to get our "Green" on! You know me... I even brought a few props in addition to my green dress and fingernail polish. I had several girlfriends meet up with me to help celebrate the night. Wall Street Plaza consists of eight venues and in honor of the Irish celebration the plaza was decorated with lots of green. There were a variety of musicians playing on the stage before the U2 cover band... all of which were mediocre at best. But we had a fantastic time none-the-less. It wasn't a late night.. but a great one with my girls.

One of the many silly games - these contestants had to eat Lucky Charms (no milk - beer!) from these massive bowls then chug an Irish Car Bomb - prize a $25 gift card. And a night of puking. Ugh!
Kelli and I listening to the U2 cover band (not all that good I might add)
