Battleship Memorial Park (Mobile, AL)

By 2:58 PM

You can peer into a snapshot from World War II to Iraqi Freedom at this fine American military park. At Battleship Memorial Park you are able to walk the decks of a mighty battleship, go below in a World War II submarine, view cockpits of combat aircraft... you can also see tanks, a Vietnam River Patrol Boat, and a plane like the one flown by the Tuskegee Airmen. The largest part of this park, the USS Alabama, was the one thing I didn't do since it wasn't quite open when I stopped by on my recent trip.  The park in and of itself is amazing though.  There is a $2.00 admission fee to park but its worth it.  To enter the USS Alabama, its around $12.00 I think.  Check them out: www.ussalabama.com
