Charleston Carriage Tour

By 3:41 PM

During a short trip through Charleston, SC I opted to see as much of this beautiful old city as I could in the little time provided... so after some online research I settled on Charleston Classic Carriage Tours.  They received really high ratings on TripAdvisor and other sites hence my selection.  What fun!  Lydia was the tour guide and she did a fantastic job entertaining the group while also educating us on this historic town.  Our horse was Kevin and he is the biggest horse in Charleston (in this industry at least).  Fun fact I thought.  The day was a hot one but this was such fun that it was worth it.  I definitely recommend this to anyone heading to Charleston who wants to get a feel of this town and all of its glorious history.  Next trip will consist of the ghost tours... they sound terrifyingly delish!
And off we go...
One of the many beautiful churches here in Charleston - there are a lot of them!
The old Powder (gun powder) Magazine - fascinating story
Lots of this beautiful wrought iron throughout the town
The Unitarian Church... never knew much about this group before today... interesting.
The Unitarian Cemetary - they believed life (growth) was equal to death and don't believe in tending to the graveyards... so there is growth everywhere amidst the headstones
The home of the founders/owners of Piggly Wiggly :)
Lots of ivy growth along steps... windows... shutters... so pretty!
The Daughters of Confederacy building
Me and Kevin...
