Cady Way Trail
I've attempted this trail once before but the shady characters hanging near its start and the looming black clouds deterred me. Sunday I found myself enjoying a beautiful day and with my bike already conveniently loaded and ready to go, I ventured out for a ride. The Cady Way Trail stretches from the Fashion Square Mall (right off Colonial - SR 50) to Winter Park Ward's Park. One way is 6.5 miles... and 13 miles round trip. It was a great ride. Lots of shelters, rest stops with benches and small parks along this urban trail. Probably not the ideal situation for a solo female cyclist - lots of secluded areas. I always have my Road ID on as well as my blackberry but still... I had a couple "second thoughts" while on this trail.
