MacBeth @ Mad Cow Theatre
This Chamber-esque Shakespeare play was interesting to say the least. I've enjoyed the past productions I've caught at Mad Cow Theatre, but I really couldn't get into it. Three actors performing all of the roles in this traditional Shakespeare play... it was difficult to get into who was playing what role at any given moment. Alan Brunn, the director, was quoted as saying "discarding elaborate costumes, scenery and supporting actors helps the audience to focus onShakespeare’s words — and the meaning behind them." I'm not sure about that. I'd have to argue that point. My mind wandered everywhere BUT there. The three performers did an amazing job and I give them kudos for the roles they played. But sadly this was not one experience that I relished. If asked, I wouldn't recommend it.
